I started as a reporter at FOX21 News in Duluth, MN. I was the 9PM lead reporter, producing 1,100+ stories across breaking news, features, live interviews, and community coverage. I even served as the ice-side reporter for the St. Cloud State Men’s Husky Hockey (2013). Those years in the newsroom taught me how stories get told, and more importantly, how they get picked up.

I left the newsroom to start a family, and built PR and marketing strategies for 30+ brands across multiple industries, managing around $2M in annual budgets in agency roles. I lead the marketing department at a robotics company landing 83+ media hits in 14 months… that’s about one media hit per week.

I never saw myself as an entrepreneur. No joke, my business became real April 1, 2023. I launched NICE! Storytelling, to bridge the gap between newsrooms who need stories and marketing teams sending non-newsworthy stories. I blend my journalist instincts with media strategy to help entrepreneurs and brands share good news helping their businesses shine. We turn quiet experts into trusted voices, using my firsthand media knowledge to position my clients where they belong: on air, in print, and at the center of industry conversations.
